Do you write down your positive affirmations every day? Although it might
almost sound like a punishment you’d receive in grade school, it’s not only an
effective exercise, it can be fun if you do it right.

Granted, some people who write down their daily affirmations as if they were
writing lines in school DO see positive results. Scott Adams, for instance,
wrote “I Scott Adams will become a syndicated cartoonist” fifteen times every
day. The results speak for themselves whenever you read a Dilbert comic strip or
see a Dilbert calendar hanging in someone’s cubicle.

An alternative to writing down positive affirmations is to simply describe
what your life will be like once those intentions become real. If your goal is
to live in a beautiful house in the country, describe your house in detail: What
does it look like? How big is it? Does it have a porch? What do you see when you
walk through the hallways? What does the view look like through the bedroom
window? The more detail, the better.

Writing down your goals and daily affirmations is an effective way to
solidify them in your mind and make them feel that much more real. It’s almost
like making a contract with yourself. If you can bring yourself to do this every
day for a few months, we can pretty much guarantee that it’s going to soak into
your subconscious. And it’s your intuitive mind that will be responsible for
seeking out and finding the opportunities you need to make your dreams a
reality.

Journaling is just one of many ways to put more power and force behind daily
affirmations, though. There’s also getting yourself into the right mindset,
knowing how to choose the RIGHT affirmations, being persistent, etc. You can
