It could be argued that Optimism is another word for the Law of Attraction. Perhaps a more general word, but nevertheless we hope that the end results of both practices are the same.

Let’s have a look at the meaning of the word ‘Optimism.’

My dear old dictionary starts off by advising us of Leibniz’s doctrine; that the world is the best of all possible worlds.

It follows by suggesting we ‘take a bright, hopeful view of things.’ So there you have it. Surely it’s but a small leap from there to the Law of Attraction? We’re bright and hopeful. Now we put the Law into effect.

At times, I think we’re all guilty of dismissing the positives in our lives. Something good happens to us, or to one of our friends. Could it be through our own actions? No, surely not. It must be serendipity. But look closer. Always examine the good things more closely.

Perhaps you do particularly well on a test.

“My word,” you say. “That was lucky. Of course, the questions were a lot easier than I thought they’d be.”

No, you did well because you prepared well. Stop and smell this particular rose. Just think about it. Through your own efforts, you did well. Think about your success and in doing so, you’ll lay the foundations for optimism, upon which you may build. It’s a strong, solid base. You’ve proved something to yourself. There’s no turning back now.

From this point, you can attempt other things. Remember how well you did in the test? There’s no earthly reason why you shouldn’t do well in other areas of your life.

Oh, there’ll be failures, of course there will be. Whoppers! But there’d be something almost sinister in you if you never made a mistake. From these, you learn. You blundered, but next time you’ll be even better, better indeed than if you hadn’t blundered, because now the pitfall shows up clearly and you are able to circumvent it with a lot more grace and knowledge.

Now couple all this to the Law of Attraction and bear in mind the following 3 tenets.

1. Just imagine all the other possibilities. It doesn’t matter whether you did well on a test, whether you organized something well or what you did. You’ve proved yourself.

2. You have endless opportunities, endless avenues down which you may travel to exercise your abilities. To paraphrase King Arthur’s words to Bedevere; ‘Every day presents a new chance. New places and people.’ The more you attend to the Law of Attraction, the more fortune will flow to you and the better you’ll become at whatever field you choose.

3. Maximize your success. Remember that the more you challenge yourself, the more you exercise your thoughts, the more powerful and automatic they’ll become.

Before you even start your Law of Attraction practice, start a journal. Brainstorm what you really want out of life.

Don’t consider the ‘how’s.’ How you’ll do this or that. The ways will be revealed to you. It’s the wanting, the ambition, the passion that’s vital. With those three things, you’ll be unable to stop your cup from overflowing.

Keep all negativity out of the journal. Don’t allow one negative thought to be penned. All that’s gone and in the past.

You’re concerned with your present, in order to plan for your future. Above all, let optimism guide your pen

Mike Bond changing gears a bit and discussing the benefits of optimism. We strongly recommend a visit to his Website at Wealthy Old Man. He’s nearly finished re-designing the whole thing and it’s far more interesting. You’ll find videos to watch, and don’t forget the $5.00 course on the Law of Attraction
