Making Affirmations More Powerful

The basis of Affirmations is quite simply that a phrase repeated to one’s self continuously while charged with emotion will bring about the conditions or change described in the phrase in the person’s life. The manner in which most people use affirmations though is that they miss the part about being ‘charged with emotion.’ Individuals will repeat phrases or goals continuously to themselves in monotonous drones expecting them to work and when they don’t proclaim affirmations and auto-suggestion to be heresy.
The proper manner to use them is to charge Yourself with emotion or be charged with emotion and then begin saying the phrase. Here are a few methods I recommend.
1. Physical Stimulation.
When doing rigorous exercise or even while taking a jog repeating an affirmation will produce results much faster. This is because the physical stimulation is producing in Your body the same changes the emotions You are aiming for would. For example let’s say You are repeating the affirmation ‘I bought a New Car on August 15th 2010′. What emotion would You be experiencing when You saw Your new car and paid for it? Excitement, right? When You are excited Your heart beats faster, You sweat, You feel elated due to endorphins being released. These same physical changes happen when You are exercising therefore Your mind is ‘tricked’ in to believing it is excited.
2. Aural Stimulation.
Listening to sounds or songs that produce in You the physiological effects that the realization of Your goal would also make the affirmation produce results faster. Remember to match the stimulation with the goal. If You are driving in Your car listening to ACDC chanting (or more likey shouting) “I Am Now a Calm and Collected Person” then the effects might not be realized as quickly as if You were listening to soothing piano instrumentals while You said the same.
3. Visual Stimulation.
Looking at a scene or watching a movie that produces in You the mental state that You would be in at the realization of Your goal is also another method. With all of these methods the point is to ’step up’ the vibration of Your mind so that it will believe the affirmation and therefore pass it on to Your subconscious mind.
It is a well known fact that unless Your subconscious mind believes You can do something You will not
be able to do it. Using these simple methods You will be able to communicate more readily with Your subconscious mind therefore realize Your goals much faster.
