How to Stay Motivated All the Time
September 7, 2008 | Leave a Comment
We all have those times when we just want to give up or go lay down on the couch instead of doing what we know we need to do. We look at our to-do lists and our sticky notes and want to throw up. A great way to get through these moments is to follow a few of these tips:
Use Affirmations: When you feel like you’re overwhelmed, take a moment to do some positive affirmations. They help give you a quick boost when you need it. People always ask me, how to stay motivated and avoid procrastination and I tell them to simply use quick affirmations. Take a break from work and just do 5 or 6 affirmations.
… Meditate deeper than a Zen monk, with these powerful CDs!
Take 10 Deep Breathes: Believe it or not, deep breathing acts as a perfect “reset button”. Deep breathing relaxes and rejuvenates you by stimulating your lymph system. When you feel stressed or overwhelmed, just take 10 deep breathes and let them out slowly.
Visualization: Take a quick break from work and visualize what you’ll get if you get through the work. Picture how great it’ll be to achieve your dreams. Picture what you’ll do, what you’ll buy and who you’ll be able to help. Get a clear picture of it. This is a great way to get you re-motivated to do the work that’s ahead of you. By having a clear picture of the outcome, it’ll be much easier to accomplish your day’s work. The most successful people envision the end result all the time.
